Our Dentists

Dr. Maneesh Jain
As a Canada Scholar, Maneesh graduated from University of Toronto with his B.Sc. in Neuroscience and Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Along with his numerous academic scholarships, he has been equally recognised for his community involvement. Since his time in Guelph, he has been an active Rotarian; serving on the Board, as a chair of Ribfest and chair of the Community and International Allocations Committee. He has served as an executive of the Waterloo Wellington Dental Society and as a Councillor of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA). Maneesh has been awarded a Paul Harris Fellow and given the Award of Merit by the ODA. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Ontario Dental Association and Guelph Community Foundation. He has also been invited to be a member of the Spear Study Club of Advanced Dental Education. His wife works for the Dairy Farmers of Ontario. His son goes to Western University doing a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and his daughter is going into her last year at GCVI’s IB program. He enjoys travelling, biking, basketball, hockey and volunteering overseas with a group called Kindness in Action.

Dr. Rose Rizek
Rose attended the University of Toronto where she completed her Honours B.Sc. in Human Biology and a Masters in Physiology. She continued her academics at the University of Western Ontario where she completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She has been involved in volunteer dentistry and was also a representative for the Ontario Dental Association. She has a passion for singing, theatre and dance. Her husband and her like to spend time with family and friends, enjoy the outdoors and travelling. Rose joined the practice in 2010 and has enjoyed being a part of the team at Jain Dental Care and helping to care for its patients.

Dr. Geoff Metz
Geoff attended Tufts University in Boston where he graduated with a BSc in biology (honors). After a stint working as a cancer researcher, he crossed the northern border and attended the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. After completing his DDS with honours, Geoff then ventured even further north spending six months practicing dentistry in Inuvik, Northwest Territories as well as other isolated Arctic hamlets. He returned to Toronto where he worked in private practice for more than 10 years. He also taught part-time as a clinical instructor at U of T’s Faculty of Dentistry in their emergency dentistry department. Geoff relocated to Guelph to enjoy the strong sense of community here and to be closer to the outdoor activities, like hiking and snow shoeing, that he enjoys so much.

Dr. Pari Dabas
Pari began her journey by first graduating with a B.Sc. in Biology (Honours) – Physiology Specialization from McMaster University. She then attended the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario where she completed her DDS degree with Distinction. During her time in dental school, Pari served as the President of the Dental Student Society and also represented her school at the national dental student council level through the Federation of Canadian Dental Student Associations (FCDSA). She also directed her focus towards promoting oral care to the paediatric population through a program called DocsKids. Pari has been recognized by her professors and fellow colleagues for her leadership, contribution and commitment to her school and community. In her free time she enjoys volunteering, travelling, exploring nature, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
Treatment Coordinator and Office Manager

Lynne Brydges
Lynne has been with the office since 1985. She was trained as a dental assistant and went to Conestoga College for her HARP certification. She has worked as a receptionist and is now our treatment coordinator. She provides a wealth of knowledge about our patients and the history of the practice. She has lived in Guelph most of her life and is actively involved in her community. Lynne loves spending time with her family and cottaging with her husband, Paul. She enjoys all that the outdoors have to offer.

Sally Makar
Sally came to Canada over 26 years ago and has been involved in the dental field for over 20 years. Having worked with dental practices of various sizes and practice modalities has allowed her to gain valuable experience in patient relations and the clinical side of dentistry. She is very excited to be part of a wonderful team at Jain Dental Care. She loves cooking, bike riding, walking her dog, spending time with family and most of all being a grandma.
Dental Hygienists

Leanne Nolan
Leanne graduated from St. Clair College in Windsor as a hygienist in 1995. Leanne was awarded the “Golden Scaler” Award for excellence in clinical proficiency. She enjoys interacting with patients and providing compassionate quality care. She finds her job challenging as well as rewarding. Her and her husband Mike have been blessed with two children Jacob and Brooke. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, reading, scrapbook card making, and spending time with family and friends.

Maniza Nazeery
Maniza has been in the dental field since 2004 and a hygienist at Jain Dental Care since 2007. She enjoys working with her fellow employees in providing high quality dental care and educating patients to make informed decisions about their oral health. Maniza and her husband, Suliman, have been blessed with 2 children and enjoy travelling, outdoor activities and celebrating with their family. Maniza is excited to raise her family in Guelph – where she has called home for over 30 years.

Alana Dutton
Alana graduated Dental Hygiene in 2006. She is very passionate about the profession and providing optimal oral care and education for all her clients. Alana was born and raised just outside Rockwood, where her and her husband Geoff currently raise their two children on their dairy farm.

Alex Smith
Alex graduated as a dental hygienist in 2015 from Georgian College. She strives to provide optimal care for all patients through education and prevention. Alex enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves the new adventures that life brings.

Kayla Sawula
Kayla graduated as a hygienist from Georgian College in 2011. She strives to provide a calm, relaxed and comfortable environment for her patients while also providing thorough patient education. On her spare time she enjoys cooking, drawing, the outdoors and travelling as much as she can. She is passionate about animals and environmental awareness in regards to climate change. She has three rescued fur babies named: Zazu, Buzz and Ellie.

Gloria Doan
Gloria started as a dental assistant 1987 and continued her education graduating from Niagara College as a dental hygienist in 1994. She has worked in the fields of general, periodontal and orthodontic dentistry. She received her orthodontic certification from The Academy of GP Orthodontics Dallas, Texas in 2009. Gloria loves her career as a dental hygienist and has had the opportunity to be involved in dental outreach programs that have taken her to the Philippines and Dominican Republic to provide dental care to those in need. She strives to work alongside her clients in a collaborative effort to help achieve not only a healthy confident smile but sustainable overall health.

Tara MacDonald
Tara graduated dental hygiene in 2011, and has since spent that time working in both orthodontic and general practices. She loves continuing education, and sharing her knowledge with her clients! Providing optimal care in each hygiene appointment is something she strives for. Outside of the office, Tara enjoys working out, baking, reading, hiking with her pup Jackson and traveling with her husband Jason.
Dental Assistants

Joanne Roy
Joanne graduated as a dental assistant in 1993 in Charlesbourg, Quebec. She is from the East Coast Acadian Peninsula of New Brunswick. She worked as an assistant in New Brunswick as well as Rimouski, Quebec. She has been working at the office since moving to Ontario in 2000. On a nice day you’ll probably see her and her husband touring the back roads on their Harley’s. She loves the variety in dentistry and has an amazing memory of our patients and their treatment.

Trish Wilson
Trish is from Thunder Bay, Ontario and graduated from Confederation College in 1984. She has experience in oral surgery and enjoys the cosmetic part of dentistry. She recently had the wonderful experience of participating in the Remote Areas Program providing dental care to the First Nations communities in Northern Ontario. Her two young adult children are attending university and college. Trish enjoys running, tennis and recently cycling.

Rapunzel Garcia
Rapunzel is a recent graduate as a Level II Dental Assistant. She is very excited to start her career and enjoys getting to know our patients. She is a very busy mom with her 2 little ones. Together they love travelling, watching movies and spending time with family.

Breanna McGarr
Breanna was born and raised in Guelph. She graduated with honors from her chairside level 2 dental assistant program in Kitchener, Ontario in 2010. New to our practice as a dental assistant and treatment coordinator she is excited to be a part of our Jain Dental Team. She has a young daughter whom she enjoys playing games with, as well as going to the beach in the summer, painting and crafts.

Grace Poisson
A near lifelong resident of Guelph, Grace has been in the dental field since 2011 after graduating as a Level II Dental Assistant at Medix. She joined the team at Jain Dental Care in 2018. Grace was drawn to dental assisting for the fast pace of work and variety offered by the patients and chair side procedures. Grace loves to travel, hike, garden and watch movies with her husband Eddy and puggle Doug, and she’s always ready for a chat about good food.

Addy Mujabnovic
Addy graduated from Niagara College as a level II dental assistant. She is excited to gain more experience, meet more patients and start her new career. She enjoys hanging out with friends and family, traveling and hiking.

Jen Moore
Jen grew up here in Guelph, graduated from Everest College in 2009. Many years of clinical experience have provided a passion for the overall oral health education, prevention and wellness of clients. Jen enjoys her family time with her two children and pets, walking, dancing and arts, riding her motorcycle and the outdoors.
Receptionists

Staci Taylor
Staci has been working with Jain Dental Care since 2003, bringing with her over 18 years off office administration experience.
She enjoys coming to work every day interacting with patients and fellow team members. In her spare time Staci enjoys spending time with her family, going on walks with her dog as well as gardening and decorating.

Anne Louise Haynes
Anne Louise is one of the friendly faces of the reception team here at Jain Dental Care. She is a HUGE hockey fan and during the winter months you can find her cheering for the Guelph Storm! In the summer she prefers spending her time enjoying her garden. Her favorite past times are baking, cooking, and spending time with her granddaughter, Kennedy. She looks forward to greeting and meeting you at the front desk.

Meaghan Higgs
Meaghan grew up just outside of Guelph and after living in Waterloo and Toronto, moved back to Guelph to raise her family. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Post Graduate Degree from Humber College. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, travelling, camping, and baking.

Jamie Murray
Jamie has been working in the dental field since 2010, starting as Dental Assistant, but was drawn to the administration side early on. Jamie loves her daily interactions with patients and providing excellent customer service. In her free time, Jamie enjoys camping and traveling with her husband and 2 daughters.
